Runs on any PC and plays a stream of graphics as if there were a Kinect attached. The purpose is to see if your PC meets the specs and to get a feel for how Visikord looks like in reality.

Running this test should show on your computer screen a person moving to music as in the sample videos, but in a very high resolution and very smoothly (60 frames per second) — as if you had Kinect attached.

Download Demo/PLAY (Kinect or Xtion recommended!)

Lets you play with the software when you have Kinect or Xtion hooked up to the PC. This is a subset of effects of the full version and it’s free for home use.

Includes tutorial recordings on how to play visual music with the software, which are made as if someone is moving live in front of your Kinect. You can watch the tutorial even if you have no Kinect attached.

Note: You should know that connecting Kinect to a PC may void your Kinect’s warranty. Please consult your Kinect manual to learn more about your Kinect licensing agreement.

Installation and running:

• If you have never connected Kinect to your PC before, don’t do it yet! Wait until the installer tells you to.
• Otherwise, if you have installed OpenNI before and you know you have the latest drivers, you may uncheck the “install Kinect drivers” option.
• Go with the installation as usual. Plug in the Kinect when the installer says it’s OK to do so.
• Before running Visikord, for best experience place your Kinect or Xtion above waist level, for example on top of TV
• If Visikord can’t see your Kinect right after the install, you may need to restart your PC.
• The demo will give you instructions and show the Visikord tutorial on start.
