Hardware needed for Visikord is relatively inexpensive and available in most stores:

Visikord H/W requirements

  • A Windows laptop or PC with dual CPU or better and a graphics card (NVidia/ATI), such as this Samsung laptop. This is an entry level laptop with a graphics card.
  • A Microsoft Kinect or Asus Xtion sensor.  (A TV Mount or Wall Mount is recommended.)
    (It is possible to use a regular camera instead of Kinect but that requires a special setup — black backdrop and a light source.)
  • One or more standard TV or flat screen displays/projection screens.

If you already have a PC/laptop that has a graphics card, it is probably strong enough to run Visikord. Download and run this test to confirm that your PC meets the requirements:
